Dynamics AX Project Manager

Uses the Microsoft Dynamics SureStep Methodology. Must have experience with Dynamics AX ERP software or will not be considered.

Acts as primary liaison and meets with the client to ensure clear work plan objectives, and monitors and communicates deadlines.

Establishes positive, professional relationship with client managers and staff. Establishes proper communication channels with client personnel responds appropriately to all client concerns. Maintains effective relations with the client through regularly scheduled verbal and written project status reports.

Provides on-site management, functional, and technical expertise toward meeting project deliverables. Provides Consulting Manager with ongoing progress reports. Establishes project parameters and ensures the parameters are communicated to mcaConnect and client project team administrators. Follows established methodology, establish budgets that are both realistic and attainable, and meet project budgets in all project deliverables. Manages the budget and notifies client and Consulting Manager if project is exceeding the budget.

Manages all assigned resources to accomplish client deliverables within the identified project deadlines. Conducts/participates in regular team meetings to promote project progress. Monitors project status. Understands and adheres to established project management policies and procedures, including meeting project budgets, status reports, and documentation.

Develops project scope and structure. Helps manage the project goals and participates in changing customer expectations when these goals change.

Orients consultants to client environment. Provides consultants with written services description, project plan and contracted deliverables before assignments. Allocates tasks consistent with assigned consultants* expertise and monitors the progress.

Provides consultants with the necessary tools and training to accomplish assigned tasks. Notifies Consulting Manager of the need for additional and/or specific resources, as required. Provides consultant evaluations at the end of their project assignments.

Recognizes possible solutions to business problems and selects the most appropriate solution. Challenges current business practices to ensure the best alternative for the client.

Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:

• BS in Computer Science or BBA in MIS
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Immediate authorization to work in the US
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: JAVA, C#, ASP, .NET, SQL, XML
• Knowledge of standard development techniques (SDLC)
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, Object Oriented Design, and Data Structures
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products desired

Dynamics AX Application Consultants (Senior Level)

This position is with a well-established and leading Microsoft Dynamics™ Gold Certified Partner, operating throughout the United States for the last ten years. They specialize in providing ERP services to enhance and expand back and front office functions utilizing the latest Microsoft Dynamics software, specifically Microsoft Dynamic AX.

We are looking for a Senior Application Consultant who will be focused on implementing Dynamics AX software solutions to their customers. This position will include considerable time in front of customers performing planning, training and implementation tasks.  Participation in the sales cycle may also be required.  Senior Application Consultants should be able to function independently or as part of a larger implementation teams.  This position may be located anyplace convenient to a major airport; travel may be anticipated to be as much as 75% (no weekend stays!).

Suitable candidates will have 2-5+ years of Dynamics AX experience as a consultant, and Dynamics AX 2009/2012 product certifications in areas such as Trade & Logistics and Production/Manufacturing. An AX Master Certification is required. The position offers a competitive salary, plus a generous bonus program, and an outstanding benefit package.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for the position of the Senior Application Consultant – Dynamics AX are:

• Implement and support Dynamics AX for new and existing customers, including design, product configuration, testing, data conversion and go live support.
• Achieve high customer satisfaction
• Provide detailed consulting estimates.
• Establish and maintain “trusted advisor” relationship with customers.
• Weekly time reporting for jobs worked
• Confer or consult with other consultants to determine the most appropriate solutions

Requirements:

The primary requirements for the position of the Senior Application Consultant – Dynamics AX are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or MIS is preferred
• 2-5+ years of experience implementing Dynamics AX
• AX Trade & Logistics or Manufacturing/Production, or Financials and Projects implementation experience is required
• An AX Master Certification is preferred
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus
• 2+ years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing related experience
